Jobsons owner Rachel is well-known for being a massive boot fan. Over the years she's owned pretty much all of the big names in boots, and it was one of the reasons why she purchased the Jobsons store in January of this year.
One of her most favourite brands that she's introduced since becoming the new owner is Penelope Chilvers. Not a household name yet but the brand is definitely on it's way to becoming one. Penelope Chilvers have carved a distinct niche in the world of luxury footwear.
From celebrities to everyday fashion enthusiasts, the brand's boots have earned widespread admiration for their balance of style, comfort and functionality.

Each pair of boots is handmade by skilled artisans in Spain, using traditional shoemaking techniques. We like that they're handmade in Europe as these days that is quite a rareity.
All of their boots are made using high-quality materials such as supple leathers and durable suedes. They're all made to last, and most of them are fully waterproof (ask Rachel in-store to pour a glass of water on to a suede pair of and watch it just drop off the boot without making a mark).
Rachel's favourite is the iconic Cassidy Boot pictured below. Great for both casual and more formal outfits, they'll almost go with anything.

At Jobsons we love owner managed businesses (being one ourself), and what's even better, Penelope Chilvers is a British woman based in England. The whole range has designs that are effortlessly chic, with the brand's signature look - a blend of equestrian influences and quality tailoring - making these boots a staple in the wardrobe of anyone seeking understated luxury.
One of our favourite styles is the Long Tassel Boot, a signature product for the brand, with its flattering silhouette and distinctive, handcrafted tassels. She even wears them for a shift in the shop and can comfortably wear them for 8 hours straight without noticing that she's wearing them. They're so light and don't take any "wearing in" like some other boots do.
